Don't let a fall change your life.
The Fall Prevention Program at Meals on Wheels Diablo Region provides a range of services, including fall risk screenings, educational resources, evidence-based group exercise classes, and home safety modifications.
The program serves all older adults aged 60 and over who reside in Contra Costa County, with a focus on reaching those in underserved, isolated, or hard-to-reach communities whenever possible.
All services are offered at no cost to eligible older adults, made possible through the generous support of foundations, individual donors, and government funding dedicated to supporting community health and safety.

What we do
Home Safety Modifications
Our Fall Prevention Program provides eligible seniors with safety equipment and home-modifications to improve safety at home. Typical items include bathroom grab bars, shower chairs, bed bars, stair handrails, and smoke alarms.
Fall Prevention Education
We provide interactive Fall Prevention Awareness presentations to community groups and organizations, both large and small. These talks can also include our professional colleagues and partners interested in learning how to reduce senior fall risk and increase senior engagement in preventive activities, such as evidence-based exercise.
